AF has also evolved, and the read speed during high-speed continuous shooting has been tripled compared to the “X-T4”, achieving more accurate AF. The AF algorithm has also been newly developed, and it is said that performance such as prediction of moving subjects and capture of small subjects has been improved. In addition, it is newly equipped with subject detection AF developed using deep learning technology. Not only the face and eyes of a person, but also “animals”, “birds”, “cars”, “motorcycles & bicycles”, “airplanes”, and “trains” can be detected.

The operability of the “X-H2S” has also been greatly revised. Instead of Fujifilm’s original specifications that use a shutter speed dial and sensitivity dial, it uses a shooting mode dial, which is similar to a general high-end model.

The shutter button has a longer half-press / full-press stroke than the “X-H1” in the initial state without stroke adjustment. It’s not as feather-touch as the “X-H1”, but it has an appropriate amount of pushing, so it gives the impression that more reliable operation is possible. The impact of the shutter operation is also suppressed considerably, and I felt that it had a better feeling than the “X-T4”.
In addition, please pay attention to the performance of the electronic viewfinder (EVF) in the operability of the “X-H2S”. It is equipped with a high-performance viewfinder that supports a magnification of 0.8x (35mm format equivalent), approximately 5.76 million dots, and 120fps display. The point is that the new optical system of all aspherical lenses is adopted, and a clear view is realized from the center to the periphery. In addition, the reaction time of the eye sensor has been reduced by about half, improving the usability of small details.
