“Copy and paste” the swoosh !? “Nike Air Force 1 MID” The new work is chic though it is strange

Speaking of our iron plate sneakers, “Nike Air Force 1”! Indeed, it is a masterpiece shoe that is also called a timeless masterpiece. The reason why it is said to be a masterpiece is explained many times in this series, so I think it is unnecessary, but I will explain it briefly with care.

The Nike Air Force 1 was released in 1982 as the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air technology. The model name is derived from the call sign of the United States presidential plane “Air Force One”. Having been worn by many famous basketball players in the NBA, it is a pair that is deeply connected to hip-hop culture and has widely penetrated into street fashion.

In 2022, when such “Nike Air Force 1” celebrated its 40th anniversary, the “NYC” model, “HOOPS” version, canvas upper model, and “Nike Air Force 1 Mid QS” will be serialized to celebrate it. But I’ve been showing off different versions. However, in fact, it’s just the beginning, and it’s in the middle of the release rush! This time, a model that treats “Swoosh” as if it were copied and pasted has been released.
Bold swoosh has a big impact!
The biggest point of this work is the swoosh that is boldly arranged as if it was copied and pasted! The swoosh that is normally attached to the model is kept as it is, and a big deck and another swoosh are attached from the mudguard to the side panel so that they overlap from above.

And also pay attention to the inner side. Like the swoosh, the Nike letter logo is heavily decorated as if it were copied and pasted.

The mid-cut symbolizes the 1990s!
Another point of this work is the mid-cut specification.

The mid-cut version was a style that appeared in the mid-1990s, when “Air Force 1” became more widely recognized as a fashion item. Looking back on its history, since the beginning of 2022, mid-cut models that symbolize the “Air Force 1” of the 90’s, such as “NYC model” and “Independence Day”, have been reprinted.

In this work, “AF-1MID” embroidery is applied to the strap unique to the mid-cut placed on the ankle to further emphasize its presence. In addition, the midsole, which has a yellowish color over time, adds an atmosphere like dead stock that has been preserved since the 90’s.
The chic coloring fits various styles!
It’s no exaggeration to say that “Nike Air Force 1” expresses the connection between street culture in the mid-’90s. The boldly decorated swoosh and Nike logo are also reminiscent of the atmosphere of the time when models with edgy designs were overflowing. At first glance, it may seem strange, but the chic coloring based on gray makes it very easy to incorporate into everyday styling.
