Along with such improvements in basic performance, it has become possible to track subjects with higher flexibility, which is also a point of improved usability. Until now, “Face + Tracking Priority AF” for tracking people and animals and various AF areas were in the same menu called “AF Method”, but with “EOS R3”, “Subject Tracking” As the function is independent. As a result, subject tracking and AF area can be set separately, and tracking start / stop can be easily switched by button operation (default setting is M-Fn2).
